Tom the Dollar has been very strong today...that coupled with the overt bearish psychology has me buying them up by the crate-full...just an fyi.

<<Well, I know this will not make you feel any better but as The Venk says: " for the record".
You remember on Wed. when I said I was going to gamble on JDSU's entry into the S&P in case there was a big run after hours and I told the thread it came up snake eyes because I was down $15,000, well it got worse.

I bought 100 contracts at 2 7/8 or $27,800 right. Basically 10,000 shares. I sold this morning for the grand sum of 3/16 or approximately $2,000 bucks. Now, if it had bounced about $50 as YHOO did no problem. If a frog had wings.

Dealer called last night and we laughed together.

v>>

Tom.... I hear ya loud and clear. Ya know it's funny, I remember when you said you were jumping on those for 2 7/8. I remember thinking " and this is the guy that doesnt like playing the casino ??? "...<ggg>...Seriously though, I remember thinking how ballsy it was......Anyway, sorry you lost some $$'s....as a buddy of mine used to say "better to have to risk losing, then to not have it at all ".

Lastly......it must be nice to be able to sit back and laugh about a short term $25k+ loss. I am not quite at that point yet, but when I get there, I look forward to calling you regularly so we can laugh about how much money we are losing.......

anyway....market looking sick. I think we get a few headfakes, but for the most part, I would not doubt it one bit if the tec's try to retest 3200 or maybe even the 3000 level. Margin level is high....lots of fingers on the sell button...lots of nervous nellies like me that got whacked so bad the last time, we have to be extra careful to not let it happen again. As you said earlier...the houses know this.......which is exactly why I think it gets real ugly out there. I wish I had cash to spend. I am still a tad bit on margin...well, about 15% I think. I'd like to lose that as well, but damn, nothing left to sell .........

have a great night......as always, thanks for thinking about me.

Greetings V:

I too got caught up (now with my pants down with no KY jelly to offer any comfort) with JDSU. I thought that it was going to do another BRCM. I picked up several thousand shares at 135-138 and bought an additional 25 August 135 calls during the beginning of the week. Got reamed. Sold 15 out of the 25 calls at 7 and change. Now my remaining 10 August 135's are worth about 2 1/8.

Please pass the preparation H.

Best regards,

David
