I will advise my wife of your opinion on R and B, and perhaps change plans. I did like Rear Window, so maybe I will reconsider on the other. The Shaft is not a remake, but a new script. The director is John Singleton, who did Boyz In the Hood, with Cuba Gooding, as well as Poetic Justice, with Janet Jackson. It stars Samuel Jackson as the nephew of the original Shaft, and provides Richard Roundtree a role as that Shaft..........
