Greg: I agree with you about a rally in the next week....the market is oversold BIG TIME....I went into cash this morning and then decided to load up on the new broadband IPO -- AVCI...I got a discount today since I think it would have REALLY RUN on normal day for the Naz...At under 1/8th JNPR's valuation it has a lot of upside, IMO.....Best Regards, Scott

BTW, Here is a good review of AVCI...

smallcapreview.com

Summary

<<Avici expects revenues to increase 337% to $2.2 million for the three months ending 6/30. No doubt the company is losing money but revenues are growing faster than expenses. With commitments received from Williams Corporation and Enron Broadband Services as well as a 17% minority stake by Nortel Networks we like to think that there is a lot to Avici's TSR.

The company presents a speculative play in broadband providers. We think Avici instantly presents itself as a takeover target. Avici has the most dynamic broadband product on the market the question becomes is the broadband market ready for Avici or are they before their time? Any ISP with serious resolve to provide customer service and demand for bandwidth resources is going to take a hard look at Avici, we think you should too.>>

What I want to know is what happens to a stock like JDSU that pays 400 a share for sdli and then it drops to 200? Don't they lose money on the deal?

I'm wondering how big the explosion could be with the wave of margin calls that will happen the beginning of next week.

I agree that we are oversold. However, where will the fuel for the fire come from?

...and how long will it burn?

We blew through several levels of support.
All of these signal a bearish outlook.

I do see a rally.
But I also see alot of people selling into it.

Mind you, we still have not tested the May lows.
I would like to see the Naz approach that level and recover at a higher level than last time.

Until then, I can't get a clear direction of the market.
I'm sitting with cash in hand.

Just the opinion of a stooge.

Greg,
How do you feel about CREE
It seems way oversold again just like MAY - but broke through 200 Day average.
Does that say anything.
Help please.
Also comments on RMBS strength and ENGA.
