A nice DOJI or some will call it a SPINNING TOP on the SOX.

Bottoms are not usually made on what I am seeing on the SPOO charts. But currently, the 15-min chart is pointing for a test of a trend line. So we shall see when this happens tomorrow. Even if price moves up from here, IMO there will need a test of support before I would have confidence in this as a bottom. Or a spectacular rally past significant resistances, which has not happened so far.

Next is a test of the 20 EMA 5 and the nearby 20 EMA 7 where sellers may show up. A turn of the longer term trend that is shown well on the 45-min chart may show up on a successful test and break through by price of the 20 EMA on that chart. This is particularly worth watching because this is one time frame that the larger fund money operates on with the SPOO. First indication of a bottom in progress for this market is a move through 1442.50 which has not happened yet. The VIX only came alive today. And it looks like it is poised for a continuation in its move up. Not saying that you have asserted the following, but any assertions of a bottom is a bit premature IMHO.

Just some thoughts of mine. What do you think? :-)

Hi don

I'm thinking about end of month stuff.

A couple of days ago we had the addition of JDSU to the SPX.

Fund managers had to sell other stock to get their JDSU.

I wonder if any of these folks held off for better prices. If that's the case then they would have to sell before they get caught with stock they aren't supposed to have. That would be Monday.

Then if that is the case, margin calls would take over from there for a few more steps down.

BTW .. long hurt today (ouch!)

Bustin' out 20% per day gains over on the Players Club and can't seem to get the same direction with real money .. not yet anyway.
