Not in a month or two. It will be "what could have been."

Hi, folks. May I impose on ...

...a few moments of your time to introduce myself.

'bonnuss in austin.' Investor 5 years. Tech-inclined thru career. Bullish through general life experience.

Joined SI in March after becoming aware of the poster "Voltaire" from some posts 'carried over' the the cesspool that is Yahoo!. <g> I mean the general Yahoo! boards. Two years on those things.

What are you people all about over here? Wondering why you 'ban' certain(?) or all(?) 'bulls' on this board?

I will have to assume you will stereotype me as a 'clown,' with my innate bullish outlook on life itself, which to me, is what investing draws upon. I'll tell you: nothing has challenged or motivated me more in my life to date than investing.

You folks feel the same?

Do I need to 'be a bear' to post here on this board?

I feel like I'm a fairly flexible person, still learning (LOL) more and more and more about how to take control managing my own finances. Need to learn more about hedging with puts/calls/pulling out of market altogether.

Likely, I'll never get real excited about commodities or gold.

If anyone cares to summarize what you all are about, choosing to spend your time here -- like, what do you do here? Decide on shorts for the day/week/month?

I can't imagine that there would be much compelling to say about interest-bearing certificates-of-deposit, or bonds? Maybe bonds? Y'all talk about bonds over here?

Speaking of which, perhaps the mean age of posters on this board is retired/on fixed income? That kinda thing?

Thanks in advance for any responses.
