Chipmaker Marvell Technology Group (MRVL: news, msgs) led the quarter with a gain of 278 percent. See chart.

It’s followed by a 234 percent first-day gain by StorageNetworks (STOR: news, msgs) and a 230 percent pop by ONI Systems (ONIS: news, msgs).

In terms of cumulative gains over the quarter’s course, optical networking equipment maker Sonus Networks (SONS: news, msgs) is the hottest. It’s trading 586 percent above its IPO price. It’s followed by the 390 percent gain for Nuance Communications (NUAN: news, msgs), 375 percent for Orchid BioSciences (ORCH: news, msgs) and 369 percent for ONI Systems (ONIS.: news, msgs).
