<<<The selection is ok, the copy seems OK and it even seems to paste into the SI box, but when I hit "Submit" It just sits and looks at me as if I were stupid, while I try to look back as if I weren't.>>>

Copy & paste stuff

Couple of suggestions...

Check what you have on the Clipboard with Clipboard Viewer. Make sure you're getting through the 'cut' part OK.

Start/Run C:\WINDOWS\CLIPBRD.EXE

You may want to create a shortcut to it.

Another hint: If possible, try cutting an extra blank line or two.

Last hint: Try pasting to something other than SI. Maybe the trouble isn't at your end at all.

Cheers, PW.

Trev
I posted about 2 months ago with the same problem in SI.We never came up with a solution. After experimenting I found that copying to notepad and then cut&paste from there works most of the time.

They have changed something in SI to cause this problem.
Ed

hi trev

"So between Large Icons and Large black print there's never enough space anywhere"

looks like you might need to clean up a little clutter, my friend #reply-13743792 ... i did and it made a difference.

"Running a Pentium III / 450 on Win 98 and using IE 5 just upgraded to 5.5 For some time I've been having a problem copying and pasting to SI"

i see where pw and ed have made suggestions. i would only add that you might try using netscape just to see if it is a browser-specific prob. beyond that, i'm at a loss.

"Do you possibly have any bright ideas??"

now and then, trev. do i have to provide the exact year? <g3>

"I have a friend who says you are the bee's knees"

sounds like a honey of a friend...

let us know how it goes

:)
