Dear minorejoy: I am not familiar with all your stocks but you have at least a few good ones just based upon the ones I know pretty well. Historically we are entering a slow, low volume market now so anything is possible, mostly negative. Not a lot of buyers, not a lot of news, possible fed rate hike coming up, so nothing positive to motivate the market. That will change by late October, maybe a little sooner as earnings begin to be discussed seriously. Companies like SUNW, JNPR, NT, JDSU ought to come through the others I dont know well enough to comment on. If you dwell on all the negativity which will come up over then nexxt month or two you will be a nervous wreck. All you can do is buy the best and wait for them to do the rest. JDN

Hang in there! It's called owning tech stocks. They are volatile to say the least. You have purchased some good one's especially SUNW and NT, IMHO. One can't look at their net worth on a daily basis unless you have a strong stomach or like scaring your self.<g> The best of luck to you.

Commiserations on owning volatile stocks in a volatile market. But hang in there and I think you won't regret it.

'Averaging in' is a good strategy, I always try to buy on down-days like today, and always small amounts. It takes courage to pick up stock when everyone else is selling, but if you don't feel too attached to your money it can be done.

P.S. Let me know when you are planning to buy again and I'll buy a load of puts :)
