Sony Shows Memory Stick-Sized Camera (07/28/00, 4:06 p.m. ET) TechWeb News Sony (stock: SNE) has developed a working digital still camera in a format only slightly larger than its Memory Stick memory card. The camera packs all the functions necessary to capture VGA images -- including a 330,000-pixel image sensor, monitor display battery, and removable storage -- into a 21.5-mm x 62.5-mm x 13-mm format weighing 26 grams. Memory Stick Duo, a Memory Stick follow-on roughly half the size of the original, provides the storage. Duo is slated to hit the market early next year. The camera is a demonstration vehicle for Sony technologies slated for future mobile products techweb.com
