Well, John, my analysis (based on evaluation of 30+ years of data) suggests you're right. Something bad appears to have started, and the high volume makes it seem like it will continue. This isn't what I wanted. I don't like to short, because it increases the volatility of my returns incredibly with the models I'm running. We suddenly went from a low volatility market to a choppy market to a market that's diving on high volume. This does not bode well for the near-term future. Now the NASDAQ looks like a classic Bear Market, poised to make a new low below its low from this spring. fuzzymath
