Pandesic, Intel-SAP Internet Venture, to Wind Down Operations 7/28/0 16:19 (New York)>

Anyone who has been aware of Intel's internet business saw this coming. These guys were planning for an IPO as their customers were going out of business.

So much for Intel's strategy for diversification. Intel has very good track record at showing that they do not know how to make money consistently in any business outside of the CPU business. It is just a question of time before most of their other internet and networking ventures turn out to be bombs.

Would be interesting to see what spin Paul would have on this.

Anyone who believes AMD is at a disadvantage because they are not diversified should pay attention to this.

FOCUS. AMD has it. Intel doesn't. Score one for AMD.

Chuck

P.S.: What is the "one time" loss Intel will take on this one and how much will the operating income go up because of that.
