Hi mishedlo; Re why RMBS was up today...

It's been down nearly every day for what, nearly two weeks? Pretty much anything that goes down that far for that long has to bounce. Stocks don't move in straight lines forever.

When a major player signs with the bus, you will see this stock really fly. It could easily move 50% to 100% in a single day on that kind of news. Today's news was minor in the extreme. I think Rambus should have saved it until they could use it in combination with more major news. But hey, I don't have a crystal ball. Maybe Rambus will sign Micron tomorrow. Because of the chance of that sort of thing happening, (and as far as I know, there is a chance), I would not be inclined to be short this stock. That's the way I've felt about it since the Hitachi/Toshiba deals.

Rambus' success as a going concern are now very much dependent on the royalties from DDR or SDRAM. RDRAM is dead, dead, dead and is in the process of just beginning to fade away. Intel's recent moves are part of the continuing process of post mortem decay. Should be fun to watch.
