remember the "You talkin' to me?..." scene delivered (to the camera and an invisible enemy) in front of a mirror as he practices with his guns in his squalid apartment

I do, I remember it very well, one of those scenes that stayed on my mind forever. Very aggressive indeed. His will to "fix his body" and be fit for his "mission" to kill the presidential. All his guns and devices, he came up to be a perfect killing machine. --and the Mohawk hairdo !

In the outcome of the final bloody scene, the media turns him into a hero.

Imagine all the weirdos out there that may be prowling, indeed, at times inspired by a movie like Taxi Driver --John Hinkley comes to mind.

A great movie, too bad there are too many sickos out there.

(He draws his gun from his concealed forearm holster.) Don't try it, you f--ker. You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? (He turns around to look behind him.) Well, who the hell else are you talkin' to? You talkin' to me? Well, I'm the only one here. Who the f--k do you think you're talkin' to? Oh yeah? Huh? OK. (He whips out his gun again.) Huh?

p.s.

Just saw (again) "Ronin" with Robert DeNiro and Jean Reno
a spy thriller. Loved the car chases --some great stunt driving in this movie !

The outcome a little of a surprise.

Katerina Witt (the German skater) appears as a Russian skater in a smal part of the movie.

____________

"I don't walk into a situation I don't know how to walk out of."

~ Sam (Robert DeNiro -- Ronin)
