I disagree. As I understand it, program trading connects the two via arbitrage.

I subscribed to TC2000 (the technical data service) a few days ago. With the service comes commentary by their gurus. FWIW, the current (7/26) comment for SUNW is "Made the high. A buy on dips." I guess I agree, but that's JMHO.

Charlie, as promised, I checked this out with a close and respected friend and former broker who now sells heavy duty trading software to institutions. He says that my statement (repeated below) is correct.
