Greenspan declined to engage in an "intellectual discussion" on the issue. Paul: Mr. Chairman it appears that you are about to walk off a cliff and take the entire country with you. Could you comment on that? Greenspan: Such talk always seems to surface in times like these. Clearly I have been walking and we have not fallen into an abyss yet.
