The MMs... the MMs are there to make money. Many online brokers clear through NITE and HRZG. So... it is individuals buying and selling the prompt NITE/HRZG to be on the bid/offer... Additionally, NITE and HRZG are not just executing buy and sell orders but are looking to make a profit on ever trade. Short is the way to go for them. Now... As I mentioned in posts recently... If one wants to compete directly with NITE/HRZG then open up and account with a firm that makes markets in OTCBB stocks. Not hard to do. They are more expensive than online accounts with respect to commissions but... This is the only way to compete with the likes of NITE/HRZG. I am opening accounts with 2 firms that make markets in OTCBB stocks. I am leveling the playing field. I watch the OTCBB action myself. In several stocks this last week, there was obviously a concerted effort to push the stocks lower on buying pressure. We need ECNs on the OTCBB... Tom

That article is lame, I emailed the writer to clarify what most experienced traders AND investors want from the SEC in regards to the MMM issues, and to research alittle and not to rely on a few remarks on Raging Bull. Bottom line, WE WANT POSITION DISCLOSURES from MM's and to second that, abolishment of MM naked shorting. With disclosure, we would see the shorts anyway so this is most important. You would think a writer would be more logical cause we do need the bastuurds, even with an ATS system.
