Jacobs can do whatever he wishes. He can still push for the breakup of CNC. He can buy more. He can take all his shares and put them in a safety deposit box. He has many options. He can even sell if he so wished. You see, he owns them, he hasn't borrowed anothers shares. He has no debts to repay. He is not the shorts best friend.

Meanwhile let discuss the bagholders as you say. Basic Supply vs. Demand. The short sellers have created almost a whole new good sized 3/4 Billion dollar company with the shares they have borrowed and sold. Seems to be a whole lot of demand for CNC shares? At last official count 64 Million extra fictional nonexistant shares worth of demand. Of course the price has fallen partially due to this increased fictional supply. Correspondingly the weaker holders of the 64 Million fictional shares have added to the supply as they have sold for various reasons. So an artificial supply exists, which is not sustainable. When demand increases where is the demanded supply going to come from? You guys might one day soon be on the hook to supply a $1.5 Billion company out of thin air.

But of course none, not even one, of you shorts posting here will be around for that day. Your risky position will be pawned off onto some poor late to the game pile on'er who never ever saw it coming.

Meanwhile if I was Jacobs, that would only be the first add of a series.

I wonder if Pinky has increased or decreased his short position in Conseco. Last I heard it was 2M shares shorted. May be one of his disciples want to reveal the number.
