Ken, Interesting article. It really does not say anything that we have not spoken about over the last year. as a matter of fact, it summarizes a number of points that I have made regarding Wellfleet. NT would have been smart to lock up the engineers there with options and throw them a nice project in the optical realm. Since a large number of Optical engineers have recently (last 12 months) left NT's ottawa group for players in California and MA, NT would have killed 2 birds with one stone. Instead, Wellfleet in MA is disintegrating slowly. It is not too late though.

Another thought that crossed my mind is that NT should have held their shares in JNPR rather than selling them (or at least a large portion of them) at the IPO. Imagine where that investment would be right now. Did NT file to sell its' stake in Avici at the IPO?
