To all:

Timer Digest Top Ten Now Bearish (from their 7/29 hotline)

Wolanchuck: Bull. Split market is difficult to analyze but a bottom is due.

Schiller (Short-Term Consensus): Bull. Buy signal was several days early but believes a tradable recovery rally will soon begin.

Daughty (Mogambo Guru): Bear. (Long-term fundamental reasons).

Winell: Bear. Expects a short-term bottom by Monday's close followed by a weak rally.

Leibovit (VRTrader): Bear. Cycle work, though, suggests market coming into a change of direction point that may reverse it back to upside, no matter how meagerly.

Check (Blue Chip Investor): Bear. Stocks overvalued.

Ord: Bear. Believes Sept. S&P's nearing a low but will probably get to 1400 area before retracement rally can be expected.

Goddess (Master Indicator): Neutral. But thinks market is very weak.

Mueller (Mueller Market Cycles): Neutral. Internals very weak and too early to increase market exposure.

Todd: Bull. Concerned NASDAQ unable to hold key support but market oversold so rally would not be a surprise.

More info on Timer Digest: (203) 629-3505.

Back to lurking. Thanks to all for all the good posts!

Well, for sure we'll see QQQ 84 Monday, either to shakeout Brinker fans, then rebound; or we'll see massive exodus of the NAZ market once QQQ hits 84.

What would be the effects of...
Since I am a newcomer and am voraciously trying to learn, I beg your indulgence to ask what would the short and longer term psychological effects of Brinker's bearish comments be? Am I assuming correctly that this was the purpose of your post? That is, it seems pretty unbelievable to me that such a thing could really happen today, with accelerating growth curves and the increased efficiency and productivity brought by technological advance. Valuations may need to be brought back in line, but aren't they from time to time? Any comments appreciated.
