Carl: I tried to convey that in my post. I stated that the earnings were -0.15 cents, or a surprise of 0.2 (11%) but that the analysts were regarding it as -0.12, a surprise of 5 cents (30%). In the formula used by the analysts, the $800,000 charge for the abandonment of a lease after August should not have been taken as an operating expense in 2Q. They consider that to be a distortion of the true operating performance in 2Q. My post was about analysts' expectations, not about the SEC filing. From an analyst's point of view, using the criteria they use, the results were -0.12 and a surprise to them of 30%. NETP's accounting for the $800,000 was very conservative.

The information about how the analysts are treating it came in an e-mail from NETP IR to "euswikt" on Raging Bull, as he/she reported it. So you would have to believe that it has been reported correctly and then have to believe that in their discussion with NETP the analysts actually said this.

It sounds plausible to me.

In my post I referred to both sets of figures - the official results and the alleged -0.12 cents
