Tony - Re: "? Well, I think they've shot their wad. Their copper process is doing zilch for them at 0.18, and how many months (years) until 0.13? "

AMD thinks so also !!!

Here's what AMD says about Dresden and CopperTurds - straight from AMD's Very Own Web Site !!!

amd.com

{====================================}

Q8:How can an end user distinguish between a processor manufactured in Austin vs. a processor manufactured in Dresden? What is the performance difference between the two?

A8:An end user will not be able to distinguish between processors. There is no perceivable performance difference between AMD Athlon processors manufactured in Dresden (Fab 30) or Austin (Fab 25).

{====================================}

Even AMD admits that their CopperTurd/Dresden is no better than ALuminum !!!

And to think - all the AMDTurds kept thinking that Intel was WRONG to NOT introduce copper on their 0.18 micron process !!!

Nope - the AMDroids were WRONG !! - AMD admits it !
