1) No, a dip below five does not cause a fund to sell a stock. Generally, however, brokerage firms, in accordance with various FRB regs, require shares of any stock below $5 per share to be fully paid for and non-margined. This causes folks to pony up more cash to hold or if they can't, a sell order. This causes selling indirectly.

2)I like the idea of a breakup of LOR. The sum of the parts greater than the whole theory. Fantastic assets hidden within the envelope of a corporate umbrella with (incorrectly perceived, IMO) problems can be spun off to allow the proper value of the assets to be fully realized in the open market. A C* spin off would be great!
