Hi Zeev - yes, for that reason [pessimism,] I feel a stronger sense of throwing in the towel this time around. Of course, there are obvious good reasons. Psychologically, the actual collapse in place of the hoped-for rally is very demoralizing. Also, at least on surface anyway, the strong economic data w/o pleasant surprise are a real concern. Then, there is also a subjective reason. Then, I was ready for it. This time, I wasn't :)

I am not at all surprised there is another day of very negative tick. That said, if Monday is proven to be extremely volatile, there is a good chance for a reversal.

Upon review of my portf [ugly!] I think I can still take a hit or two, so I ve put in a couple of buy GTCs.

Btw, the pt about 50% retrenchment is quite interesting.

best, Bosco

FWIW there is a lot less margin in the market now than 3-4 months ago. Hopefully this mutes a panic sell-off and causes less of an overshoot to the downside. Here's hoping for the RNC to inject some "feel good" into the markets with their talk of allowing private investment into SS. Thanks for sharing your turnips. Gary.
