That happened to me once with an options trade. My broker complained, and the next morning I got my fill at my limit price (as
a late--very late--trade).


I didn't complain because I eventually did get filled but only after a hour of the ask bouncing off my bid without filling. Considering the value of the contract went down after I bought it, maybe its unfortunate that I got filled.
