the thread is a feedback loop for building and testing ideas and portfolios. It is part of a process of caring engagement that marks us as human beings and that propels the ascent of our species. Each of us has something to offer to all of us; together we build models that are more than the sum of our parts.

Excellently exemplified by post # 29114.

Thank you!

<<If I have succeeded, I have done more than summarize Moore's ideas, I will have helped you see both his models and how he is builds them.>>

Extraordinary analysis of Moore's models - your many years in the academy have served you well and the desire to publish still runs strong! <g>

My personal search for a viable investing framework (which eventually led me to the Gorilla Game) started when I realized TMF Rule Maker criteria identified great companies but did not adequately explain how they came to be great. Moore and his models fill that gap nicely with one possible exception - why are some companies able to establish an open proprietary architecture as the de facto standard while others are not? Answering that question might point us toward games which are more likely to be successful than others and therefore enable us to conserve our intellectual capital while maximizing our investable capital.

Thanks for your great contribution.

Don -
You too are gifted in your ability to put together such a summary. I am not. Thank you so much for taking the time to do so and for sharing it with us.

William

The G&K thread has developed a remarkable culture.

...and you have contributed significantly to that culture with this one remarkable post.
