JDN, your spec'd computer sounds powerful enough for you to design a new Jaguar on it. ;-)

One thing I have found out is that Windows 2000 requires a lot more memory for quick task switching, like browsing to Word to Excel, to whatever, than Windows 95 or 98. Maybe the home version, Windows ME will be less of a hog. The full strength W2K appears to need 128 MB minimum. I'd probably spend a moderate amount of extra money on memory, even at the expense or 100 MHz of CPU clock speed. Quite a dumb recommendation for an Intel bigot, eh, wot!
