(CDNX:SFU. - news) President W. T. ``Tom'' Styffe, announces testing of the company's new 1/2`` diameter concrete anchor, and international expression of interest in the company's seismically resistant anchor technology. Safe Environment Engineering Canada, Inc. announces its newly developed concrete anchors are now configured in 1/2`` diameter and have been installed for field testing. The test installation comprises anchors ''cast in place`` in a new concrete office tower located in the area of Vancouver B.C. Proposed testing is for ultimate pullout values, as well as shear test values. Testing is conducted by ITL Warnock Hersey, and supervised by the company's engineering consultants, The Glotman Simpson Engineering Group. As reported earlier, Glotman Simpson, and ITL Warnock Hersey, have been retained to evaluate and assist with regulatory approvals, of the company's line of patented, seismically resistant anchors. Engineering project leader, Mr. Ed Theissen P. Eng. stated ``Safe Environment's anchor has a pullout capacity which compares favorably to conventional drilled concrete anchors of the same diameter.'' The company recently received an expression of interest in the distribution its anchors in the European Common Market from a knowledgeable group currently involved in the European construction industry. A meeting between officials of both companies is tentatively scheduled to be held in New York City during the first week of September 2000. Safe Environment Engineering President, Tom Styffe commented, ``International interest of this nature indicates the company's optimistic view of its concrete anchoring system is valid. The company's view appears to be shared by those in a position to know the requirements and the demand potential of the Company's products. The market is simply waiting for evaluation.'' Testing and evaluation of the company's seismically resistant anchors is on schedule and should be achieved in the fourth quarter of this year.
