There has been a few personal attacks on Mr. Chu on the stockhouse thread and I felt the need to respond.

I have had the opportunity to meet Mr. Chu and talk with him on the phone several time. One of the reasons I invested in this company was that after visiting him in his office in Vancouver I found him very open and receptive to all of my questions. He answered every question I asked him and followed up many of his comments with references that supported his statements. This included showing me the actually letters of recommendations from several of his partners. I have also had the opportunity to talk to some of the people on his company’s Boards of Directors and some of the people who are in contact with his partner brokers as well. These people have expressed their respect for his vision and dedication to ensuring this business is a success. As a result of these discussions, and many other incidents that I have observed, I have trust in Mr. Chu and his present board building this company.

Cowards find it is easy to stand back and criticize others for attempting to build a business from the ground up. It’s not the large businesses but rather the small businesses that are the largest employers in the world. Because of this the majority of the people who work for a living support their families from the incomes they make from working in these businesses. I can’t imagine what would happen if the people who had a vision decided that they did not want to subject themselves and their loved ones to the abuse that may come with building up these businesses?

From everything I have observed Mr. Chu has a tremendous work ethic and has dedicated himself, and sacrificed precious time with his newborn son, to build up his business to a point where it has attracted International attention and support. I have called the office before 7am and later that 10pm and often find him at his computer. A clear fact is that there are several families depending on the income they earn from this business to support their families. In what is probably a personal vendetta, these people are attempting to scare investors and pull Mr. Chu down at the same time. If they fully realize, appreciate, and are enjoying the impact of what they are doing then they are truly cowards. So if Toby was not trustworthy, then why have several members of his management team (who have tremendous credentials that are impressive in their own right) have been with him for years, and are loyal to him. You don’t instil loyalty over the years if you are not a worthy of it.

So what about the question of family members involved in his business? Simple answer . . . if including family members in your business is a bad idea, I guess no one ever told Li Ki Shing, Izzy Asper, or a bunch of other billionaires that fact. To succeed it is necessary to surround yourself with talented people that you can trust and in many cased the most trusted people are family. I could go on for hours about the number of fortune 1000 companies that were started by a few talented family members that built a team around them. Allen, one of his brothers has been on the Board of Directors for seven years, and is a founding member. Talking a shot at the Irix deal because a family member is a minority shareholder is ludicrous. This was an amazing purchase that is profitable and will provide SEG with automatic operational earnings. However just to clear things up for the thread I did ask. For you information when votes were cast for the Irix deal I was told that Mr. Chu abstained from voting. In addition, Mr. Chu was also not involved in the due diligence in anyway. This Irix deal make “GREAT” business sense, and to question it is just shows how much business sense your group possesses.

So what about the solidity of his business plan? I have heard that one of his key broker partners (the Managing Director of Tai Fook) has described this business plan as “brilliant”. The execution of this business plan is what is now on the table. Granted there are hurdles to overcome, but I challenge anyone to name a rapidly growth company where there aren’t any. Building a business is a tough thing to do, and the landscape changes all the time. Despite having to deal with the added irritant of slanderous, and malicious comments from anonymous coward(s), the company is making progress and has been ramping up.

After the AGM, Mr. Chu came to lunch with a few of the retail investors who attended the AGM. He was asked several questions about the business, the state of the company, relations with partner brokers, etc., etc. I believe he was open and forthright with all of them. You wouldn’t get that type of access to the President of a public corporation if he didn’t care about the investors in his company. Several times I have called him to discuss an issue that I wanted an answer to or an explanation for. I know he makes every effort to call me back whenever he can and due to the timing of the calls I assure you that I have grown to respect his staggering work ethic. To build a business like he is trying to do and to the extent of what he is doing requires a sacrifice of time that many others would not put in. I don’t feel he deserves this added crap.

I have told Mr. Chu about these anonymous posts and he just stated that the best defence he knows to of is to build a business that will be strong and be able to grow in the future. From what I have seen they are working hard to accomplish this task.

Yes, it would be so easy to sit back and take anonymous shots at others who are trying to succeed . . . but to me that seems just downright cowardly.
