Let us also remember that Onstar is working with Verizon on future updates to their system, so between Wingspan and Onstar, CDMA (i.e. Qualcomm) will be getting royalties from Ford, GM, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, and I'm sure a bunch of others.

Anyone have an idea how much QCOM would make off a telematic system? Probably more than a handset, and it won't be long before most of the cars sold annually in the USA (and probably Japan) have a system in them.

Another question... Who is left to partner with Voicestream and AWE regarding telematic applications? Is Hyundai up for it? How about Subaru? Maybe that little car that Mr. Bean drives...? Do they still make Yugos?
