G* is not affected by trees or buildings in rural areas - maybe in the canyons of NYC - always has two LEOs in view

Thread: I have a question about the Spinco distribution maybe someone can answer: Do distributions work the way splits do, such that shareholders the moment before the distribution (split) receive shares of Spinco? Or, will Spinco only be distributed to shareholders who hold QCOM before a specific date?

Although I have received shares from spun-off companies in the past, I was in the same situation I am now in with QCOM: I held shares of the parent company prior to the spin-off announcement and neither bought nor sold shares going into the distribution [just what I plan to do with QCOM--I shall neither be buying nor selling QCOM shares going into the distribution]. Basically, I did not pay attention to the details of the distribution.

Now I am curious to know.
