The most bullish 2 -3 year period in MSFT's recent history probably starts today, 8/1/00. There are several reasons I feel this way:

a) STRONG Business turnaround startng this Q and a total blowout in Dec Q. W2K SR1, Win ME, Office 2K/W2K joint upgrade cycle, MSN reaching 5 Billion by Dec,etc.. Also the product cycle of sql2k, exchange2k, commerce serve 2k are going to bring solid revenue growth is how I feel. Balmer and rest of MSFT mgmt was quite bullish at the analysts mtg.

b) From a political environment I think things are going MSFT's way

c) MSFT is winning all civil cases. Look at past history of MSFT cases. MSFT won bristol, settled Caldera, Won Java $35 mil suit, Won 5/5 of civil suits so far. Company seem to do things right from legal front and defending itself.

d) MSFT might have started stock buybacks.
