Hopefully over the past 2 million years the human race has been able to progress in its understanding of the universe to a much higher degree than you allude to... yechhhh! Some humans accept things as they are -- others really lead the human race to the future and change things to match their vision. Let's continue your water analogy: yes, there are those who will accept the water as "just there" and play in it, drink of it and drown in it -- they are useless... Then there are those that will harness the water and redirect its mindless energy to their will and thus in the process turn night to day. They are the ones who (through their thought and actions) keep you alive despite yourself. If it wasn't for men and women like them, you would still be living in a cave and die of old age at 30 (if not had for dinner by a wild animal long before you ever had the chance to reach the old 'geezer' age of 30). FT>> T: All the great mysteries that mankind have "unlocked" have been "inspired." If you believe YOU, ME, US possess this "inspired" power then we're simply facing two different directions. The more "I" try to control and take credit for things the more they slip from my hands. The more I "let go" and submit myself, my energy and purpose to the higher power that's within us all the more I have to share, help and serve others. More energy, more ideas, more resources, more inspirations, etc. I firmly believe we are all supposed to simply be happy and joyfull. When we are happy and joyfull we want to share this light and energy and feeling with others. More than that we will risk exposing ourselves to riducule, definitions, judgment and blame for all those things really don't exist. For the anger, hate, guilt and blame that comes from our power to judge others is simply an irrational expression of fear. This has nothing to do with love. For we are all connected by light, energy and love. We each have this power to connect, communicate, collaborate, cooperate, help and serve with others. If we are not doing this we are leaving "the river of life" - retreating defensively from the water to a place which we feel comfortable defending, etc. And when we leave the River we only get angry for we are following our fear led by our ego instead of the love within our heart and soul. Let me challenge you: who can you and I help and serve? Let's place the spotlight outside of "ourselves" where it should belong: helping and serving others. I'm ready to go, T. Forget about "me" and "you." The objective of "living" - ie. being happy and joyful - is to get outside of yourself and help/serve/inspire others. Peace. ......... You fill in the blank.
