Pat, RE: FAR WORSE THAN THE SHORTS ARE THE IDIOTS WHO POST MESSAGE AFTER IRRITATING MESSAGE YET HOLD NO POSITION!!!!! That one amazes me. It makes a lot of sense to follow threads when you don't hold a position. It would severely limit your portfolio if you only actively followed stocks that you were short or long. In addition, the actions at one company can significantly affect another. In RMBS situation, for example, events at RMBS can significantly affect INTC, AMD, and MU, among other companies. A person long MU, for example, would be foolish not to closely follow RMBS. I guess it doesn't amaze me at all. In fact, it amazes me that you're amazed.
