What happened to good old civility?

Ask Ed.

I just tuned into CNBC and caught Joe Kernan's new tape segment. What he said the tape is supposed to do and what it is actually doing doesn't jibe.

He said when a symbol was gold there would be the volume of the trade in front of it. I have seen gold symbols but no volume indications. Perhaps that particular feature only occurs during regular trading hours.

I thought it was pretty basic...and Joe and Maria were very cute as they played along together in the KHNA, "KahunaGenomixWireless" bit...adorable!

Anyway, it's a lot easier to see the volume of buy/sell...those zeros were too hard to count...little moving targets.

The gold after-hours numbers stand out nicely...

Another CNBC 'Good Thing"...[Honors to Martha].

Now, I shall complain...gripe, moan and gnash...
[open note to the GrandeDam of financial Television]

Ms. Herera, please check the oooozing over anything 'sexual'...it Lowers the Bar, Majorly...gotta keep a standard true. I'm sure you're just a 'touchy-feely' type person, and that's really great...[it would probably be different offcamera], but, I noticed Bill G. wince today when you leaned over, kinda into his space, laughing and grabbing his person after the fluff about 24yearolds and...'frequency'.

I just think that if the genders were reversed, it would be an 'uncomfortable HR moment", meaning...it smacks of a 'double standard', ie, men must be very 'untouchyfeely' and the CNBC guys, for the most part, are Extremely Respectful of the gals personal space...you know, maturity, just basic consideration of each others professional image.

I know it's just your jovial, warm natured self coming through...you Rock!
