No - I meant July Although I don't know why, I have noticed there are still a number of stock which do go up from time to time. A number of factors made me fairly confident that such would be the case today. Among them the fact that for some reason, it is important to some people, to have their stock reflect an unusually high value on the last day of the month. So this morning I picked up 4 or 5 stock that I felt would spruced up by the close. At the time I posted my question the market was having difficulty getting it up and keeping it up. While the NAS did close up 103.99 I have to tell you that this was one of the most pathetic big green days I have experienced. If today is any indication there is NFW August is up. Not that I am complaining. While I trade both sides I am much more comfortable when I know that there is a reason for the stock to move the way I am playing it. I almost always know why the price should come down, but... I did reasonably on the long trades, in most cases selling them sooner than I needed to, and then sold some that I hadn't bought yet into the close. One of the nice things about short sales is you don't have to decide what you are going to sell until after the price goes up. <gg> I expect we make an attempt up in the morning but I think the rest of August sees continued choppiness but with a down trend. That is unless we really melt. Needless to say, having said that, we rally strong the whole month.
