with futures contracts you have to always consider that it's a zero sum game. in other words, when the smart money has a huge short position, the not-so-smart money has an equally huge long position. and that's the majority that's wrong, in this case mainly the small traders.

you have to look at the other side of the coin in other words...it's the big long position of the small traders that's worrisome for the market.
