Here's James Cramer's (of theStreet.com) take on the Irwin Jacobs attempt to engineer a short squeeze on Conseco. What I find interesting is that when I. Jacobs does it, the commentators applaud, but when M. Winn does it, they call it criminal. Seems odd. By the way, I have no position in Conseco or GSTRF, and have learned to respect the accumulated wisdom of the shorts in a heavily shorted stock. However, I am a little tempted now by GSTRF, as the recent ads for their service seem interesting. I am almost thinking that I might like to get their service, if the price just went down a little more, and if the weight of the phone were reduced. (I hike in very remote areas alone, and would use it for safety purposes.) thestreet.com
