Estephen,

There is indeed a giant conspiracy against Rambus. It is headed up by the Democratic Party, Chinese co-conspirators, Al Gore, the Communist Party, the Russian Mafia, the trade press, Intel, the test equipment manufacturers, the Japanese DRAM manufacturers, Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara, Jerry Garcia, Chairman Mao, Fidel Castro, General Franco, Charles DeGaulle, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Janis Joplin, Dewey, (Huey and Louie too), the Looney Tunes, the NRA, the Sierra Club, the Bureau of Reclamation, the IRA, the AMD, and the BBC.

If Rambus was allowed to succeed, the economy would prosper so much that the Fed would have to raise interest rates. This can not be tolerated by the "Gang of 2 billion".

Really. I'm not just kidding about this.

Estephen,

DDR is purely vaporware. I have predicted several times that it will never be in the desktop. If it does make it, it will prove to be a short lived, dismal failure.

I'll make you a deal. If you are right, I'll go away. If you are wrong, you go away.

How could you turn down a good deal like that, especially about something you are so sure about?

Scumbria

Well Estephen,

I can certainly agree that there is lots of "instability" in this particular market.

The hand writing has been on the wall so long that its beginning to fade. ...Hopefully Carl, Scumbria and the other EE types around here will continue to retrace it for us. :8)

I'll say this for you though. There isn't a football team in this country that wouldn't kill to have a fan as loyal and true as you are. But remember, loyalty should be a two way street.

If RMTR/INTC leave your "loyalty" rotting by the side of the Freeway, I trust you will remember their ill treatment the next time some Analyst tells you where INTC is going to "lead" the rest of the known Universe.

Hi Estephen; Re: "The performance claims and cost of DDR, from the anti-rambus crowd is so distorted as to be fictious. We know how well the anti-rambus press can distort the truth, they do the same when hyping ddr.

How long did you mean by "short lived"?
