SLAs; Integrating CrossKeys Resolve Software

LONDON and PITTSBURGH, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Marconi (LONDON: MNI) and CrossKeys Systems

(QoS) - an essential requirement for the delivery of mission-critical services.

``Service reliability is key for business customers moving their mission- critical applications to advanced
Optical and Internet Protocol based networks,'' said Dave Lewis, executive vice president and general
manager, Optical Networks and Network Management, Marconi. ``We are pleased to incorporate CrossKeys
performance management software into our new ServiceOn portfolio, designed to enable service providers
to manage their service businesses easily and cost-effectively.''

Under the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement, Marconi will incorporate CrossKeys
Resolve® software into Marconi's new ServiceOn Accord - providing an effective service level agreement
(SLA) solution to service providers worldwide. CrossKeys Resolve portfolio enables service providers to
measure and guarantee the quality of telecom service they extend to their customers. If service issues are
identified, CrossKeys software can drill down into network operations to locate the source of the problem
and indicate how to fix it.

``Marconi's excellent customer base, reputation and its significant presence in optical, wireless and packet
technologies make them an exciting partner for CrossKeys,'' says Ian McLaren, President and CEO,
CrossKeys. ``This agreement allows CrossKeys Resolve to enter new markets, and establishes another
distribution channel.''

Marconi ServiceOn Accord

ServiceOn Accord is the most recent product from the Marconi ServiceOn Management(TM) suite -- a
comprehensive, integrated portfolio of multi-vendor OSS, service and network management solutions that
enable service providers to more effectively deliver, manage and bill for a broad range of value-added
services.

The ServiceOn Management suite is designed to support all types of broadband, transport and access
networks - including Internet protocol (IP), asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), SONET (synchronous
optical networking), DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) and SDH (Synchronous Digital
Hierarchy) -- this scalable suite of products and solutions enables service providers to simply and
cost-effectively manage their entire network, end-to-end.

Just received my copy of the annual report.
There is some details about the 4 new products
CKY plans to launch in Second Half of FY 2001:

DSL, Optical, Wireless, Hosted Applications

In general, the annual report is nice looking and very attractive. They're selling themselves pretty well
compared to last year. :)

Q1 2001 results are due Sept 27.
