<<just tell the story true and strong.>>

You mean like the story that they were going to break even 3 quarters ago based on revenues from Hanil and Alliant alone? That was the true and strong story told at the conference call 1 year ago, wasn't it?

Rich,

Not sure how many more HED/TNB batteries G* will have to burn through, no pun intended (G), before we start seeing 'ours". But here's some insight into problems associated with the G*'s roll-out from..." Gunnar J. Sandstrom, "former Director of Sales in an international
sales capacity with GMPCS Personal Communications Inc., an
Inmarsat service provider and Globalstar reseller based in Pompano
Beach, Florida. During a six-month period, Mr.
Sandstrom implemented a web based marketing program to promote the new
Globalstar Satellite System. Prior to Mr.
Sandstrom¹s program, the company¹s website was averaging 49,000 hits per
month. Within the first 90 days of the new
marketing program, web hits exceeded * million and propelled GMPCS into
the national sales leader of Globalstar." <snip>

Sansstrom's reponse (7/30/00) to a question concerning the roll-out and last qtr's low subscriber numbers...

<<...The ramp up is going as I had expected considering all factors involved.
Anytime a new service is introduced there are always going to be bugs in
the system somewhere. These are usually technical "bugs" and get worked
out. These are the same problems we had for years (decade) in cellular
with coverage issues, roaming agreements etc... The one difference I
noted with Globalstar's release in the USA was the lack of preparation
on Airtouch's part. Distribution agreements that should have been in
place a year before were not. This is the biggest single reason for the
slow roll-out. If you release a great product, make sure you have it
where the consumer can get it's hands on it. The blame for this can go
directly to the top man at G* USA and as you know, he is no longer
there.
I have been waiting for the Bahamas to go live. This is going to be an
incredible market for myself and others in my area.
I still believe in this product and know it will survive in spite of the
slow roll-out. THE RAMP-UP IS JUST NOW BEGINING and besides that, I am
back. "That's gotta be good for another 5k subs alone!"
