BC1 Body Composition and Calorie Tracker to be Featured At Sebastian International's New i Zone
Innovative Web-Enabled Health and Fitness Device Joins New Salon and Design Showcase

MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2000-- Stayhealthy, Inc.'s BC1 Body Composition and Calorie Tracker, an innovative new Web-enabled device that allows users to monitor their health and fitness using the Internet, will be featured in i Zone, a salon, learning center, cyber cafe and international design showcase from Sebastian International, the leading worldwide beauty care products company. Jonathan Bogner, executive vice president of Stayhealthy, a leading developer of Web-enabled health and fitness products, made the announcement today.

The BC1 Body Composition and Calorie Tracker is a simple desktop device that allows users to monitor their body composition and measure caloric burn. An essential tool for beauty, weight management and fitness programs, the BC1 Body Composition and Calorie Tracker works with Stayhealthy software to connect users to the Stayhealthy BC1 Web site where subscribers view password-protected performance graphs, news and other personalized information in a secure environment. Launching in October, the BC1 will include Stayhealthy's CT1 Calorie Tracker and a one-year subscription to the Stayhealthy BC1 Web site for a suggested retail price of $330.

Designed as a unique showcase of international design and art, i Zone is a salon, cyber cafe, store and learning center designed as an environment for exploration that features information as the commodity and exposes visitors to something new every time they visit. From the art on the walls to the furniture throughout the space, everything in i Zone is for sale. Through the use of innovative products, services and non-traditional uses of space, i Zone functions as an interactive gallery that highlights the art of the hairdresser. Opening August 7, i Zone is located at Sebastian International's worldwide headquarters in Woodland Hills, Calif.

The BC1 is featured at i Zone's Cyber Cafe Internet Boomerang Station, where five of the devices are paired with laptop computers inviting visitors to provide their personal data, take a body composition measurement and access the Internet for the display of their results. The measurement takes only seconds and is highly accurate, since the BC1 uses proven Bio-impedance technology. Working with Stayhealthy software, the BC1 sends the user's measurement and personal data to the Stayhealthy server, where the data is analyzed and posted on the Internet in a secure, password-protected environment.

``The BC1 Body Composition and Calorie Tracker allows salons and beauty industry professionals to add value to their services by providing highly accurate hydration readings, which is an essential factor in skin and hair quality and numerous other important aspects of a person's health,'' said Bogner. ``Sebastian International is an established leader in the beauty industry, and this innovative venue clearly demonstrates their commitment to individualism, creativity and the health and fitness of their customers and gives us a unique opportunity to introduce the BC1 to new audiences.''

Created to challenge people to think differently through non-traditional uses of space, design and business models, i Zone uses feng shui philosophies of design to create positive energy flow, aromatherapy, light and color therapy, non-linear and translucent walls, more than 50 feet of indoor waterfalls and music and sound zones to engender moods and atmospheres that invite visitors to explore the ``i'' in their individuality.

``Sebastian thrives on innovation and the ability to make a difference,'' said Manolis Lekkas, chairperson and CEO for Sebastian. ``i Zone is an extension of our company mission to inspire and share our passion as a creative and caring organization.''

i Zone's multi-functional environment features several distinct spaces, each offering different beauty and design experiences, including The Salon, with concierge services and consumer play areas; The Store, where 8-foot wide, ceiling-to-floor water walls frame the entrance to Sebastian hair, makeup and logo wear products; and The Cyber Cafe, where visitors can use the BC1 device, indulge in food and beverages and explore specialty worldwide magazines. The Salon will also work with i Zone's Learning Center, teaching cutting methodology and expanding Sebastian's Advanced Learning Curriculum, one of the industry's leading stylist training programs.

Mike, I don't know. Will read the latest pr more thoroughly than skipping through the nouns, and look seriously for some verbs. <gg>

While we wait, the housing market in my area has increased 40% in the past 1 1/2 years. I'd like very much to see a product launch, an IPO, and a profit margin.

STAYing for the go....
