Dear Rudedog: OT OT SUV's I am unfamiliar with the LX470 but if its anything like the Land Cruiser I would admit its a fine off road vehicle. However, it is very expensive compared to a Jeep and I can tell you, I get a little squeamish about scratches and all just in my $30kish Grand Cherokee (thats why I bought a Wrangler for future off roading) and I dont think I could STAND to get scratches on a $45kish vehicle. (gg) I should tell you the type of off roading we do at those Jeep Jamborees is serious stuff, not a little drive down a muddy road but more like climbing a cliff, fording rivers and gully's and the like. If you have ever seen that commercial where a Grand Cherokee drives over a pile of rocks to get into its estate, well we go over much worse then that. JDN
