You are neglecting the other products that Sony is building to support its entertainment network. They have products for the theatre, the home and for development and delivery of multimedia entertainment. They also have a large library of entertainment titles and games. What Sony is doing is more important than what Intel and AMD are doing currently. Sony has a bigger and better vision of the future uses of computing. It is interesting that JEDEC is only addressing the PC market in its DDR quest. It is just another case of xenophobia. JMO
