age 34 to 54... Interesting.

I fall into that age group and agree it is interesting. Well over 90% of my MP3 library is music that is over 15 years old. It's not music you usually hear on the radio, most probably isn't available on CD's. Does this music have the same value as the latest greatest CD from today's hottest band? (I don't know the answer)

One of the things that the Internet has done is to give ready access to hard to find stuff, be it obscure data or some rare antique on EBay. Now music files. MHO, most of this music hasn't been promoted by the record companies for years, I'm not sure that they deserve a profit stream from it's use, though I wouldn't mind compensating the artists.

I don't think anyone has a clear picture of how this will eventually play out. I certainly don't.
