AMFR... they need to spin the hotels off into another biz and pay the AMFR shareholders a dividend of stock in the new company.

Ameri-First Financial Group Reports Record Earnings
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2000--Ameri-First Financial Group, (OTCBB:AMFR - news) announces record earnings for the quarter ending June 30, 2000.

Ameri-First posted net revenues in its securities division of $929, 797 which equates to over 8 cents per share in earnings for the quarter.

In addition, Ameri-First's newly formed real estate division, Ameri-First Holdings, Inc. has completed the acquisition of 5 Homegate Hotels and Suites throughout the State of Texas. The following 5 locations were included in this purchase: Amarillo, El Paso, Irving, San Antonio - Airport, San Antonio - Fiesta Texas. The preceeding properties have been audited by Arthur Anderson and have a current value in excess of $34 Million and generate over $2,600,000 in net operating income. The consolidated financial information was filed with Edgar but will not reflect the income from the hotel purchases until the following quarter.
