Dear tiquer: I realize this isnt directed to you as you are not really going to offroad. But, for the information of the rest of the thread:
separate body-on-frame construction
When you are sitting on top of a big boulder, believe me you WILL appreciate a REAL FRAME!! Also, I have found you cant even safely install rock rails on the unibody vehicles (and that includes Grand Cherokees) because the body flexes and the rivets will loosen and eventually wear big holes in the body.
