freeus,

don't take this personal because it is not aimed at you but you have really given an answer to something that has puzzled me for years. I was telling Uncle Frank today by phone that I have never been able to understand fear, especially in the market and now I know why people can have fear. It is just a lack of faith.

Jill put something on the board about this but it just did not sink in like it has today.

Thanks,

again it has nothing to do with you, just me.

V: I bought AVCI aggressively on its IPO day (last Friday)....

I thought my purchases (from $93-$100/share) were expensive. Yet, I had FAITH that this company could really become a pioneer in the fiber optics revolution. I like the management team, the small float, the valuation, the unique technology, the lead Underwriter (Morgan Stanley), etc...

The fact that last night an article verified that AVCI had recruited one of Lucent's top fiber optics General Managers just confirmed my hunch. Today the stock was up another 23%....I am willing to take a calculated risk on this stock....if the company brings in the new contracts and has an impressive deployment, watch out....IMO, this firm has 'Juniper-like potential'. AVCI seems to perform very well -- even in this turbulent environment for the Naz where the Fund Managers are as nervous as they come <VBG>.

Good Luck Investing.

Regards,

Scott
