Pitiful Erik - Re: "realize prevarication comes very naturally to you, but there are ten vendors on the following page who will glady sell you a 1.0 GHz Thunderbird today, and get it to you tomorrow:"

Wht don't you re-read the first part of your post - the topic of discussion was SYSTEMS - not CPUs with no box or motherboard to plug them into.

""the first PIII 1.13GHz systems will arrive on the same day as the first ThumperTurd 1.0 GHz systems." Thia would be more appropriate - assuming ThumperTurd 1.0 GHz systems do indded arrive by that time !"

Eric - do you know what a SYSTEM is?

Paul

Erik <there are ten vendors on the following page who will glady sell you a 1.0 GHz Thunderbird today>

Where do you get the motherboard that will run the 1 GHz Thumper? Preferably the motherboard should run without a lockout.

I think that Gateway has solved the lockup problem and will ship WORKING systems soon. But then again maybe not.
