I was using your onion as "real" and the "process/experience" of peeling metaphor as the metaphor. For I believe all thought which begins with love - ie. energy - is real. We create the future through the power of thought. We are spiritual beings. And there really aren't any limits, boundaries or restrictions. Only the ones we dream up. And these are illusions anyway for they are founded on fear. Fear is simply the inward perversion - or pulling away - from love - ie. a black hole vs. the radiant fission energy of the sun. Fear needs light to exist for it actually pulls/perverts/twists the force of light into darkness. All parties that get sucked into this get hurt, but this process can be reverse miraculously by a catalyst - the energy of light/love. Imagine how you'd feel if you were living inside, on the edge of or as a beam of light about to be sucked into a black hole. F-E-A-R. Facing the darkness. Now imagine how you'd feel if you were actually a reflection, the source, the face and mirror of this light, energy and love. You had the power of the sun inside of you and you simply shined this light/love and shared this power to help others while illuminating/radiating/empowering their way despite any/all F-E-A-R. Each individual who walks the face of this earth has this power. We are just scared to death to admit it. For the black holes out there have sucked/perverted so many people's light/energy and love inside them. Black holes HATE, consume and destroy light, love and energy. Ego is a black hole. Call a spade a spade. Period. But love and accept this. And don't judge it. Try this exercise: 1) Ask a negative question - eg. Why is this world such a rotton place???? How do you feel when you ask this question? 2) Ask a positive question - eg. What can I do today to help others feel the same joy, happiness and energy I feel? How do you feel when you ask this question. If question #2 reaches too far for your sentiments, try asking this positive replacement question: What can I do today to make me and others feel happy? Our lives are defined, labeled, filtered, colored, structured, processed and influenced by the quality of the questions we ask ourselves. For when we ask ourselves we are actually asking our maker -our God, spirit, energy and source of all light and love. Ask a negative question and, by God, you will "get" a negative answer/outcome. For negative questions have no real answers - they only chase you and others down these fruitless black holes - me vs. you, dog eat dog, always trying to claim/possess/control/take/prove to others by taking/defining/limiting/labelling them relative to you. If you label yourself "lower" you feel depressed. If you label yourself "higher" you feel egotistically "better than." But the ego continually needs more and more examples of being "better than" relative to things outside itself. Hence the need to assign blame, point fingers, judge, label, define, limit, restrict others. Ego is simply a "cutting off" from our internal energy and light. Ego faces the darkness and feeds on the illusions of fear - internally and externally. Negative energy and fear are the byproducts of ego. Since ego is cut off from the power of love, the anger it expresses represents a calling back to others - ie. maybe there's someone out there who won't fight back and be defensive. "I want to meet that person, for everyone else if full of it, etc." Given the relative perspective of fear, etc. ego is "right" and never "wrong." People aren't inherently "bad". We all have an unlimited potential power for good, however, which can transcend/transform everything. And when it comes to FEAR, there's nothing in the center to cry about. Hail to The Onion.....!! Peace. ......... Note: I took the "religion test" and ended up with a 100 score for New Age. The system froze up so I couldn't save/copy/paste. There are huge gaps in the questions. For example, I believe in the Holy Trinity and there wasn't a question which covered that.
