It doesn't hurt to make contact. I did email IR. I'm not asking them to comment on the valuation of their stock level, but to comment that nothing materially has changed about their business over the last week.

Secondly, I do not see why they can't make a statement concerning the short interest in their stock. Nothing about valuation, but a simple statement commenting on their knowledge of the short interest, and the basic strong fundamentals behind their business.

I see nothing wrong with making some statements. It has been done before by other companies.

This stock behavior is not normal and one cannot say it has happened before. Today is a different company than 4 months ago, 6 months ago, or whenever a drop in the past has occurred.

The company should not count on the analyst to pound the table. Look, there is no underwriting business to be had.

The company should defend itself, unless it also welcomes this kind of price volatility.
